How GPTinf handles your content (privacy overview)
Quick answer: Your text is processed to deliver the result you asked for. It is not sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used to train models. The Grammar Checker runs on a self-hosted engine — your text does not pass through a third-party server.
What we do with your text
- Humanizer. Your input is processed by the rewriting engine and returned as output. The transaction is private to your account.
- AI Detector. Your text is sent to the 8 underlying detector services for scoring. Each detector has its own privacy policy; the request to those services is a standard API call.
- Plagiarism Checker. Your text is compared against indexed web content. The query happens at scan time and is not retained for later use.
- Grammar Checker. Runs on a self-hosted LanguageTool engine inside GPTinf. Your text does not pass through a third-party grammar service.
What we do not do
- Sell your text or your account data.
- Use your text to train new models.
- Share your text with third parties for advertising.
For the legal version, see the Privacy Policy.
Where your data lives
- Your account profile (email, plan, billing data) is stored on GPTinf servers and on the payment processor's servers (for transaction records).
- Saved humanizations or reports (if you have a paid plan with history) are stored on GPTinf servers tied to your account.
- Anonymous Humanizer and AI Detector runs are not tied to a profile — they are processed and not retained beyond the session.
The grammar checker is different
The Grammar Checker runs on a self-hosted LanguageTool engine — meaning the grammar-checking code runs on GPTinf's infrastructure, not on a third-party API. Your text is processed and returned without leaving GPTinf's environment.
This matters if your content is confidential — legal drafts, internal memos, unpublished writing — and you do not want it touching extra services.
Your rights
- Request your data at any time.
- Request account and content deletion at any time.
- GDPR rights apply if you are in the EU/UK.
FAQ
Is my text used to train models? No.
Who can see my saved humanizations? You. GPTinf staff do not browse user content, and access is limited to support cases you initiate.
What about the third-party detectors? The AI Detector sends your text to 8 detector APIs for scoring. Each detector publishes its own privacy policy. If that is a concern, the Plagiarism Checker, Grammar Checker, and Humanizer do not require third-party API calls in the same way.
