Promise: By the end of this, you will have humanized a piece of text, read the detection score, and know what to try next.
What you need
- A browser open at gptinf.com.
- Any AI-generated text you want to run through the tool. If you do not have one, click Try sample when you reach the Humanizer.
Step 1 — Open the Humanizer (1 min)
From the GPTinf home page, click AI Humanizer. You will see two panels: input on the left, output on the right.
Step 2 — Paste or upload your text (1 min)
Paste your AI-generated text into the input panel, or click the upload icon to add a PDF, Word, or plain text file. If you do not have your own text, click Try sample.
Tip: Free anonymous users can humanize up to 120 words per cycle. Long texts are easier to compare if you start with a single paragraph.
Step 3 — Pick a rewriting mode (1 min)
The default is Standard — balanced rewriting that keeps the meaning. For an essay, switch to Academic. For casual writing, switch to Informal.
You can change the mode after you see the first output, so do not overthink it now.
Step 4 — Humanize (~30 sec)
Click Humanize. The new version appears in the output panel within a few seconds.
Step 5 — Read the detection score (1-2 min)
Below the output, you will see the AI detection result. It checks against 8 detectors and shows a combined score plus a per-detector grid.
- Green segments in the text = read as human.
- Yellow = mixed.
- Red = still reads as AI to at least some detectors.
A high green-to-red ratio means the rewrite is on track. A lot of red usually means it is worth re-running with a different mode or freezing specific terms.
Step 6 — What to try next (4-5 min)
Pick one:
- Switch modes and re-run on the same text to compare.
- Freeze keywords — type a proper noun, brand, or technical term into the freeze panel so the humanizer keeps it as-is.
- Try the AI Detector as a standalone tool on any text — no account needed.
- Try the Plagiarism Checker — free registered users get 500 words/day.
FAQ
Why is the score still high after I humanized? Some detectors are stricter than others. See Why does my detection score still show "AI"?.
Can I save my output? Copy from the output panel before you navigate away. Pasting it into a separate document or email draft is the simplest way to keep it.
