Selective Rephrase: re-run only part of your text (Pro+)
Quick answer: On Pro and above, highlight any sentence or passage in the humanizer output and click Selective Rephrase. Only that section is rewritten — the rest stays untouched. Does not use extra word budget.
Plan badge: Pro and Unlimited only.
What it does
After running the Humanizer, the output sometimes has one paragraph or sentence that did not rewrite well. The rest is fine. Selective Rephrase lets you re-run just the problem segment — no need to re-humanize the entire document.
How to use it
- Run the Humanizer once on your full text.
- In the output panel, highlight the sentence or passage that needs another pass.
- Click Selective Rephrase (next to the highlighted text or in the toolbar).
- The selected segment is rewritten in place. Everything else stays as it was.
When to use it
- A specific sentence reads stiff in otherwise clean output.
- One paragraph still reads as AI when the rest passes.
- You want a different word choice for a single phrase without rerunning the whole thing.
- You are iterating on a long document and do not want to spend word budget on each pass.
What it doesn't do
- Does not change the mode. It uses the same mode you set for the original run.
- Does not apply to the input — it only rewrites output text you have highlighted.
- Does not add formatting that was not there in the original. Bullets and headings pass through, but no new structure is added.
Word budget
On Pro and Unlimited, Selective Rephrase does not use additional word budget. Re-run as many times as you need on the same output.
On Free and Lite, the Selective Rephrase button shows but prompts an upgrade when clicked.
FAQ
How is this different from re-humanize? Re-humanize runs the whole text again. Selective Rephrase only touches the part you highlighted.
Can I undo a rephrase? The previous version is overwritten. Copy your output to a local document before iterating if you want to keep earlier versions.
Does it use the same modes? Yes — Selective Rephrase uses the active mode. To change mode mid-process, switch modes and run a full Humanize.
