Annual vs. monthly billing

Quick answer: Annual billing costs less per month, but your word budget still refreshes monthly — you do not receive a full year of words up front. Annual Pro gives you 25,000 words every month for 12 months, not 300,000 words on day one.

Annual billing is one payment for the year at a lower effective monthly rate. Monthly billing charges each month.

How annual word budgets work

This is the part that surprises people, so it is worth being explicit:

• Your monthly word budget refreshes at the start of each billing month — on both monthly and annual plans.
• On an annual plan you are paying for the year in advance, but you still receive your plan's monthly allowance each month.
• Example: Annual Pro = 25,000 Humanizer words per month, every month for 12 months. It is not 300,000 words available immediately.
• Unused words do not roll over. Each month starts fresh at your plan's allowance.

Why it works this way: the monthly cadence keeps processing fair and steady across the year rather than letting a full year of capacity be used in days.

Switching between annual and monthly

You can change your billing cycle from Settings → Billing.

• Monthly → annual: the annual rate applies at your next renewal.
• Annual → monthly: the change takes effect at the end of your current annual term; you keep access through the term you already paid for.

FAQ

I bought annual and only see this month's words. Is that a bug? No. Annual plans grant the monthly allowance each month, not a year of words at once. This is expected.

Can I get a refund if I misread how annual works? Refunds are reviewed within 3 days of the charge. For annual plans past that window, we generally do not refund the remaining term but can stop the next renewal. See Refund policy and how to request one.

Does annual unlock anything monthly does not? No — same features and same monthly allowance. Annual only changes the price and billing cadence.
