Quick answer: You can delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account. For everything else — backups, billing records, support transcripts — email a deletion request to support and include your account email.
What you can self-delete
In Settings → Account → Delete account:
- Your account profile.
- Your saved humanizations and reports (if any).
- Your active subscription (cancellation is included in deletion).
Deletion is permanent. You cannot sign back in or restore anything afterward.
What requires an email request
Some records cannot be wiped through the UI:
- Billing records. Tax law requires keeping invoices for several years. We can mark them as belonging to a closed account but generally cannot fully erase them.
- Support transcripts. If you have contacted support, the conversation is in the support system. Email a deletion request to have those scrubbed.
- Backups. Routine backups roll off on a schedule (usually 30 days). After that, no copy remains.
To request these: email support@gptinf.com from the address on your account with subject "Data deletion request."
Include: - The email on your GPTinf account. - What you want deleted (account, support history, billing records subject to legal retention, etc.).
Timeline
- Self-delete: immediate. The account stops working right away. Backup rollover completes within 30 days.
- Email request: acknowledged within 2 business days; completed within 30 days (GDPR compliance window).
What survives deletion
Only the legally-required minimum:
- Invoice records (tax law).
- Anonymized aggregate metrics (no personal data).
Note: If you delete your account and then change your mind, you can sign up again with the same email — but the new account starts fresh. There is no "undelete."
GDPR
If you are in the EU/UK, deletion is a right under GDPR. See GDPR and your rights as a user.
FAQ
Will I lose my paid plan when I delete? Deletion cancels the subscription. If you have already paid for a period, that money is not refunded as part of deletion — request a refund separately if applicable.
Can I export my data first? Yes. See Requesting your data (GDPR / data access). Do that before deletion — once deleted, the data is gone.
What if I just want to pause and come back? Do not delete — cancel your subscription instead. Your account stays usable on the free tier and you can resubscribe any time.
