Deleting your GPTinf account
Quick answer: Go to Settings → Account → Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, and your account is removed. This is permanent — there is no undo.
How to delete your account
- Sign in and open Settings → Account.
- Click Delete Account (lower-left of the Personal information panel).
- In the confirmation dialog, type DELETE in the field, then click Delete My Account.
Warning: Deletion is permanent. You cannot sign back in or restore your account, settings, or saved work afterward. If you only want to stop paying, cancel instead — see below.
What happens when you delete
- Your account profile and saved work are removed.
- Your active subscription is cancelled as part of deletion.
- Routine backups roll off on their normal schedule (usually within 30 days).
- A few records survive by law — invoices (tax retention) and anonymized, non-personal metrics.
If you have already paid for a period, deletion does not refund it — request a refund separately if it applies. See Refund policy.
For backups, support transcripts, or billing records that the interface cannot remove, email a request — see Requesting account and content deletion.
Want to pause, not delete?
If you might come back, do not delete. Instead, cancel your subscription — your account stays usable on the free tier and you can resubscribe any time. Deleting throws away your account entirely.
FAQ
Can I undo a deletion? No. There is no undelete. You could sign up again with the same email, but the new account starts fresh.
Will deleting refund my plan? No. Deletion cancels the subscription but does not issue a refund. Request one separately if you are within the refund window.
Can I export my data first? Yes — do it before deleting. See Requesting your data (GDPR / data access).
